BOARD SECRETARY

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority in the heart of the dynamic Silicon Valley is seeking an experienced team leader for the Board Secretary position. This individual would be a valued member of the Executive Management team. The Board Secretary is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Office of the Office of the Board Secretary, which is charged with maintaining minutes and official records and for providing support services to the Board of Directors. Additionally, the Board Secretary’s responsibilities include oversight of the Document Controls function, Copy Center, Records Management and Retention programs.

COUNTY OF LOS ANGELESRegistrar-Recorder/County Clerk
Starting salary range is $149,127 to $225,717 dependent on qualifications, salary history, and career accomplishments. This position includes an outstanding benefits package, with $525 per month car allowance.
A national search effort is underway to identify outstanding leaders with senior executive-level county or city government experience, for the position of Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. This position will oversee the largest and most complex election jurisdiction in the country and is directly responsible for 1,100 employees with a $179 million budget. Must have a demonstrated track record of success managing a large organization with exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. A college degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in law, business, or public administration is desired. This is a highly compensated executive-level position that will result in a mutually agreeable and negotiated employment agreement. CITY CLERK
Salary: $4, 469-$5432 monthly (Exempt Position)
The City of South El Monte seeks a City Clerk that will direct the operations of the City Clerk’s department.
The City Clerk reports to the City Manager and is a key member of the executive management team; provides administrative support to the City Council; supervises the preparation, organization, printing and distribution of the agenda, as well, the minutes, ordinances, resolutions and other documents; directs the publication, filing, indexing and retention of official municipal documents; prepares and directs publication of all legal notices as required; manages the activities of the department including management and preservation of official city documents and records. Performs other related duties as required.
Education & Training: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field is highly desirable. Five years of increasingly responsible experience performing complex administrative duties in a City Clerk’s office, or equivalent experience in a similar government agency. At least two years of experience must have included management/supervisory responsibilities. Education leading to the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk would be an asset.
