Position: Deputy City Clerk
Salary: $4,407.87 - $5,460 Monthly

ABOUT THE POSITION

Under general direction of the City Clerk, provides administrative and program support to the office of the City Clerk in the preparation of City Council agendas, minutes, actions, ordinances, and resolutions; in the maintenance of official documents, records and archives; in the administration and conduct of City elections; in overseeing the day-to-day activities, services, and operations of the City Clerk's function; provides varied technical support to the City Clerk and other City departments; and, serves in the absence of the City Clerk.

This position is a "Confidential" position. The position is non-represented and serves in an "at will" capacity with no rights to employment. Salary and benefits are established by City Council Resolution for classifications designated as Executive, Mid-Management, Confidential/Exempt.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor's degree is highly desired. Recent training and completed coursework in area(s) related to the position duties and responsibilities is preferred.  Possession or ability to obtain a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks is desirable.

Experience: Three (3) full-time years of increasingly responsible executive or administrative level office experience within a municipal government agency. Current or recent work experience in a City Clerk's office is desired, but not required.
