The ideal candidate will be seasoned in policies and procedures related to the functions and statutory obligations of the City Clerks Office & organization, functions, procedures and rules of the Council and Council Committees. This candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), Brown Act, Public Records Act, Maddy Act and records management. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-centric environment with a proven track record of achievement while fostering creativity and innovation, promoting change to enhance efficiencies, and in effectively developing and utilizing the talents of current resources and assets are essential.  

The position requires five years of responsible public agency administrative experience which includes leadership and supervisory responsibilities and the equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree (120 semester units) in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.   The salary range is $92,458-$123,903 annual, DOQ, and the City offers an attractive benefits package.
